Job Announcement

Horizon Bay Retirement Living is seeking a Regional Vice President of Operations for our Central Texas region. The ideal location for this person will be in Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX.

In this position, your main responsibilities are to ensure the successful leadership of financial performance, resident satisfaction and employee satisfaction of all operations for communities within the area assigned.

What You Would Be Doing:

*Provide leadership and support to the executive directors within the area to successfully operate the communities. Proactively identify key business issues at each property.

* Hire, train, develop and motivate executive directors. Provide performance related feedback to the executive directors on a regular basis and complete timely annual performance evaluations. Provides timely recognition for exceptional performance.

* Promote and insure all corporate standards, practices, philosophies and objective are maintained and assist in the development of such. Travel to each community to facilitate site visits, ensure physical plants remain in good order and ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.

* Provide on-site support to each executive director and implements monitoring mechanisms to ensure effective and successful operation of each community. Serve as creative, supportive resource for executive directors in addressing and resolving operational issues. Work with executive directors to determine and establish profit centers within the operation of each community, program development and continued service development.

* Call upon corporate support to assist in maximizing revenue and profitability, resident and employee satisfaction. Work with corporate discipline to address areas of concern, improvement and facilitate necessary changes as agreed upon.

* Monitor monthly financial performance of each community. Ensure assigned communities meet budgeted revenue, profit and expense projections. Assist executive directors with development of a business plan, review and approve such plan.

*Assist executive directors in determining appropriate staffing needs to ensure effective operations within budgetary confines while achieving high resident and staff satisfaction and positive financial performance.

* Respond, in a timely manner, to concerns or inquiries brought to the corporate level by residents or their families.

* Respond, in a timely manner, to concerns or inquiries brought to the corporate level by employees, residents, or families within the community.

* Proactively identify talent within the company and industry to support growth objectives.

* Support the sales and marketing efforts in assigned communities to ensure budgetary occupancy goals are met or exceeded and provide direct assistance as required.

* Assist in the evaluation and identification of new property opportunities, in the assigned area, by analysis and review of proposed project’s viability.

 

What We Are Looking For:

*Bachelors degree in Business or related field.
* At least 3 years experience in a lead operations role within senior housing.
* Previous multi-site responsibilities within the senior housing industry.
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must have proven skills in working independently, be self-motivated and goal oriented.
* Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
* Experience with applicable PC-based.
